River City Pageant Titles and Age Divisions

Depending on the number of registered contestants, a potential for a total of 3 Supreme Titles, 15 Royalty Titles, 2 Kinder Titles and a Baby Title, along with many other recognitions and awards, will be presented at the end of pageant competition.  Contestants winning Supreme, Service and Royalty Titles will become representatives of River City Pageant for the year and are required to make a minimum of 3 appearances during their reign and return to crown their successors at the following year’s pageant event.  Petite Princess, Jr. Prince, (both ages 4-5) and Baby (ages 0-3) will be invited to attend events that do not have a minimum age stipulation, but they are not required to make appearances. (See our Royalty Handbook for detailed information).

Supreme Titles

Here is where River City Pageant competition gets especially fun and different from other systems. In order to both recognize our top competitors and encourage our participants to raise more money for Spokane Parks Foundation, we give out bonus points for additional fundraising that are used to help boost competition scores for Supreme Titles.

First, the contestants over age 6 as of January 1st competition year with the top 10 overall pageant competition scores before fundraising is added will be selected as our "Supreme Finalists." This includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear and Mandatory Donations. Next, we calculate the bonus fundraising points that our Supreme Finalists earned and add them to their pageant scores. The way we calculate bonus fundraising points is to award any additional donation over the required $50 and/or swimsuits as follows: Every $10 = 1 point and 1 swimsuit = 1 point. After fundraising bonus points are added to our Supreme Finalists' totals, the top 3 highest overall scores will each win a Supreme title: Ultimate Supreme, Grand Supreme, or Supreme.

Ultimate Supreme Winner (ages 6+)

The Supreme Finalist with the highest combined overall score from required events plus bonus donation points out of all age divisions 6+.  Includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear, and total points for donations collected.  Winner receives a custom River City rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim, and a gift prize package. This title does not double crown.

Grand Supreme Winner (ages 6+)

The Supreme Finalist with the second highest combined overall score from required events out of all age divisions 6+.   Includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear, and total points for donations collected. Winner receives a custom River City rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim, and a gift prize package. This title does not double crown.

Supreme Winner (ages 6+)

The Supreme Finalist with the third highest combined overall score from required events out of all age divisions 6+.   Includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear, and total points for donations collected. Winner receives a custom River City rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim, and a gift prize package. This title does not double crown.

NOTE: Although it is possible to be a top fundraiser and still not win a Supreme Title, it is highly unlikely that you will win a Supreme Title without doing fundraising above and beyond the minimum required amount. Please visit our Donation Scoring page for compete details on how points are scored for Supreme Titles.

Jr. Pre-Teen Winner

Queens/Kings: 1 Per Age Division

The contestant in each age division with the highest competition score after the Supreme winners have been selected will be crowned. Includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear and Mandatory Donations. Bonus Points for donations above and beyond what is required are not used to calculate age division royalty  Winners receive an embroidered satin sash and a custom River City crown. Supreme title holders will be selected from contestants ages 6+ so, if you are chosen as a runner-up in one of these age divisions, it could mean you've been "pulled" for a Supreme title.  Make sure to stick around!

Age division placements are based on how old a contestant is on January 1st of competition year.

Jr. Division Titles
Princess (6-7) | Prince (boys 6-12) | Jr. Pre-Teen (8-9) | Pre-Teen (10-12)

Sr. Division Titles
King (men 13-27) | Jr. Teen (13-15) | Teen (16-18) | Miss (19-27)

Sophisticated Division Titles
Ms. (28-59) | Majesty (men 28-59) | Elegant (60+) | Refined (men 60+)

Please note that our Princess and Jr. Pre-Teen age division break down is slightly different from many other systems. 4-5-year-olds may compete for Kinder titles but will not be included in the Prince and Princess title divisions the way they might be in other systems.  As capable as some 4 and 5-year-olds may be, most places require children to be at least 6 years of age to volunteer, so we have set our minimum age requirements to meet those standards.

Kinder Titles

(ages 4-5):  1 Per Age Division

The contestant in each age division with the highest combined overall score from required events. Includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear, and Mandatory Donations. Jr. Prince (4-5) | Petite Princess (4-5)

Babies are not required to compete on-stage, but have the option of registering for an on-stage Mini-Model competition. We encourage parents to dress their little ones up in formal wear type dress or River City theme outfit for on-stage photos and crowning, but it is not required.

Babies do not compete for Supreme Titles but are eligible to compete for Overall Top Fundraiser and Swimsuit Competition awards.

Complete Details can be found on our Baby's Division Page.

Supreme Title Scoring Examples

First, we select our Top 10 Supreme Finalists: the contestants with the highest pageant scores before fundraising bonus points are added. Once we have added bonus funraising points to these 10 contestants' overall scores, we will be able to determine our Supreme Title Winners. This will typically go to contestants with top donation scores, but not always and not necessarily the ones who collected the very most. For example, here is how a Top 5 might play out:

  • Bekah's pageant score is 557 and she only collects her mandatory $50 in cash donations (earning 0 bonus points).

Her Overall Score would be 557.

  • Stacy's pageant score is 540 and she collects $310 in cash donations (worth 26 bonus points) and 10 swimsuits (10 points).

Her Overall Score would be 540+26+10=576.

  • Keaton's pageant score is 525 and he collects $350 in cash donations (worth 30 bonus points).

His Overall Score would be 525+30 = 555.

  • Tiana's pageant score is 518 and she collects 37 swimsuits (worth 32 bonus points).

Her Overall Score would be 518+32 = 550.

  • Austin's pageant score is 515 and he collects $310 in cash donations (worth 26 bonus points) and 24 swimsuits (24 points).

His Overall Score would be 515+26+24 = 565.

So, even though Bekah had the top pageant score and Austin had the most donations, Stacy's Overall Score is the highest and she becomes the Ultimate Supreme winner, Austin the Grand Supreme and Bekah the Supreme. And if noone in the Kinder or Baby divisions brings in more donations, then Keaton will win the trophy for Top Fundraiser and Tiana will win the Swimsuit Competition.
