Donations to Spokane Parks Foundation

River City Pageant Baby Crown

River City Pageant is a charity pageant designed to raise funds, collect swimsuits and promote the amazing work that Spokane Parks Foundation does. In that regard, scoring is done a little bit differently than many other pageants you might be familiar with.

Required Donation

Age Division Royalty Titles (all ages)

All contestants competing for a title at River City Pageant are required to donate a minimum of $50 and/or 5 swimsuits to Spokane Parks Foundation. Once a contestant has made this donation, they will receive the full credit for the Donation Portion of their Royalty Pageant Score. If a contestant does not submit this minimum donation, they may still compete for and win Optionals Competitions, but they are not eligible for a royalty title.

Supreme Titles (ages 6+)

Here is where River City Pageant competition gets especially fun and different from other systems. In order to both recognize our top competitors and encourage our participants to raise more money for Spokane Parks Foundation, we give out bonus points for additional fundraising that are used to help boost competition scores for Supreme Titles. This is how we calculate our Supreme Title Winners:

1) Supreme Finalists: First, we calculate who the Top 10 contestants over the age of 6 are with the highest pageant scores before fundraising bonus points are added in. This includes points for Personal Introduction, On-Stage Question, Theme Wear, Formal Wear and Mandatory Donations.

2) Fundraising Bonus Points: Next, we calculate the bonus fundraising points that our Supreme Finalists earned and add them to their pageant scores. The way we calculate bonus fundraising points is to award any additional donation over the required $50 and/or swimsuits as follows:

Every $10 = 1 point
1 swimsuit = 1 point

3) Supreme Scores Tallied: After fundraising bonus points are added to our Supreme Finalists' totals, the top 3 highest overall scores from that group will each win Supreme titles: Supreme, Grand Supreme and Ultimate Supreme.

NOTE: Although it is possible to be a top fundraiser and still not win a Supreme Title, it is highly unlikely that you will win a Supreme Title without doing fundraising above and beyond the minimum required amount.

River City Pageant Trophies

Top Fundraiser and Swimsuit Competition Winner Trophies (all ages)

The contestants who donate the most money and swimsuits will both win custom trophies plus really fun prize packages no matter their pageant score and no matter the age division. So, even if you happen to have an "off day" stage competition-wise, you will still be recognized for your outstanding contributions in your efforts to help support Spokane Parks Foundation.

These winners are also the contestants chosen to present the stage "check" to the Spokane Parks Foundation representative at the pageant finale.

Kinder Fundraising Trophy (ages 4-5)

Contestants ages 4-5 (Petite Princess and Jr. Prince) are not eligible to compete for Supreme Titles. Also, fundraising beyond the minimum required $50 and/or 10 swimsuits does not contribute to their overall score. However, we do want to recognize our top Kinder fundraisers by presenting them with an age division custom trophy and giant plush animal. Kinders are also eligible to compete for the overall Top Fundraiser and Swimsuit Competition prizes.

Baby Division Top Fundraising (ages 0-3)

Baby contestant titles are calculated by totaling their photogenic score (worth 80%) plus fundraising score (20%). So fundraising beyond the minimum required $50 and/or 10 swimsuits counts towards their overall age division score. Points for babies are calculated with Every $10 = 1 point and 1 swimsuit = 1 point. Babies are also eligible to compete for the overall Top Fundraiser and Swimsuit Competition prizes. Baby Division Info

Making Donations

We will be accepting credit card payments, cash, checks made out to the Spokane Parks Foundation, and swimsuits during check-in on the day of the pageant as well as online monetary donations which we will accept until April 10th through our Donations Page.

To make it easy for contestants to collect donations, we have created a donations tips page to help out. Contestants may also request to have a Custom Donation Page created by submitting a special online form.

Remember: The more donations contestants submit, the better their chances at winning a Supreme title or other recognitions and the more you help Spokane Parks Foundation.  Win – Win!
