Hello, meet Amy Dana, she has been married to her husband Joshua for over 19 years and married for almost 15 of those years. They have two daughters that keep them very busy with their activities. Cora is eighteen and Aniston is fourteen. They both have swam competitively for over 8 years. Amy and her family have been highly involved in the swimming community and she is currently the Moses Lake High School Booster Club representative for the Girls Swim and Dive team. She enjoys not only watching swimming, but she loves to swim. In fact, during high school she was a competitive swimmer/diver.

In 2000, Amy encountered Bell’s Palsy, a temporary facial paralysis that usually goes away. She was a rare case and never fully recovered. Permanent nerve damage called Synkinesis is what Amy was left with. Basically, a miswiring of nerves. She is now the founder of Bell’s Palsy Strong a private support group on Facebook that helps individuals connect to others that are going through or have gone through Bell’s Palsy. The private support group has nearly 4,000 members and grows every day.

Other volunteer work Amy have been involved in Spokane includes Fundraising event for the Victoria Siegal Foundation helping combat the teen opioid epidemic, read to elementary school classrooms in Spokane. Zumba Fitness-Spokane Zumba for Pink Event Just recently she has volunteered makeup and hair styling for modeling shoots in the Spokane and surrounding area with Dana Designs. Amy is always on the go to make a more positive impact on the community. Amy’s fundraising goal is to raise $200 and continue her fundraising efforts throughout the year because she enjoys the benefits of Spokane Parks. She believes this program is vitally important because more kids and adults need outside more!
